ASO’s 27th season opens as we continue our Beethoven 1-9 project while beginning a two-year celebration of Revolution250 on the South Shore. Join us as we usher the past to the present, spotlighting the music our founding families enjoyed with special lobby exhibits and performances, and then examining the evolution of that music as found in Beethoven's vast repertoire and composers who followed.
Opening Night will be a spectacular evening, with a silent auction, specially-curated wine from Bin Ends Wine, concessions, and a transcendent program celebrating the triumph of hope.
In addition to featuring a Canadian born virtuoso violinist Shannon Lee, our Opening Night program features 2 electrifying masterworks - a triumphant Beethoven's 7th Symphony and a colorful foxtrot for an orchestra by a Pulitzer Prize winning American composer John Adams.
